In a span of nearly five decades the BPS has become a major Buddhist publisher with hundreds of titles and a field of distribution extending all over the world. Besides these books, BPS also publishes full-length books as time and circumstances permit. These include standard introductions to Buddhism, translations from the Pali Canon and its commentaries, works on meditation and original contemporary expositions of Buddhist thought. Altogether, their publications constitute a voluminous reference library on Theravada Buddhism.
